Sentry Safe Welcomes Schwab Corp into the Family

The first month of 2011 is almost over and there have already been some big changes already. Most significant is the acquisition of Schwab Corp. by Sentry®Safe, also known by many as Sentry Safe or simply Sentry.

Established in 1872, Schwab has set the standard for quality and craftsmanship when it comes to high security & fire resistant files, record safes, file cabinets and vault doors. Likewise, for over 80 years, SentrySafe has established themselves as a world leader in fireproof safes and burglary resistant safes. Bringing the two together was a natural fit.

Despite the name change, there's still much that will remain the same. The quality you've come to trust from Schwab will be carried on by Sentry. As makers of the first UL classified fire-resistant safe in 1955, you can rest assured that Sentry has the knowledge and power to manufacturer only the best in fire resistant safes and cabinets.

For your convenience we are keeping most of the Schwab line on our website, including vertical fireproof file cabinets, lateral fireproof cabinets and fireproof side tab units, listed by their Schwab-issued model numbers. If you would prefer to shop by the new Sentry model numbers, simply do a search on our site and they'll come right up. These will be the same products you've depend upon under the Schwab name simply branded now under the SentrySafe family.

Please contact us if you have any question about this change. You can find out more about both Schwab and Sentry at their websites.

Free Shipping and Extra Shipping Options

At DigitalBuyer.com, we offer free shipping on every item in our catalog. However, for certain items, you may want to consider adding on extra shipping options depending on your needs.

Instead of going by ground, many of our larger items such as our fireproof file cabinets and fire safes should via freight truck. Free dock-to-dock shipping is available on these items to commercial locations. What this mean is that the freight truck will pull up to the loading dock for your business and unload your purchase onto your loading dock or forklift.

If you're not shipping to a business and/or do not have a loading dock, you may need to add-on extra shipping options in order to receive your order safely. See below for an explanation of the various special shipping options that are available. Not all options will be available for all items. Because of differences in streets and access ways, there may be different options available for residential locations.

Lift Gate/Curbside Service: If you do not have a loading dock or forklift, you will need to choose this option. The freight company will instead use a truck equipped with a lift gate to lower the item(s) curbside or to another safe location where the truck can access. The freight company will not be liable for the shipment after it is unloaded from the truck and signed off.
Inside Delivery: Unable to bring your item(s) inside? With inside delivery, the delivery personnel will place your order inside the ground floor as long as there are no stairs/steps or elevators. Uncartoning or removal of debris is not included.

Full Service Inside Delivery: This service includes the delivery and installation. The freight company will bring the item(s) inside and install it in the desired location. This includes uncartoning, removal of debris and set up. Up to 3 steps/stairs and/or elevator included. If there are more steps/stairs we will have to get a quote from the freight company. Please let us know prior to shipping to avoid re-delivery charges. The freight company will need to bring special equipment if there are additional steps.
